For as long as I can remember I have been telling myself stories.  As a young child pretending to be an orphan in the back woods of my childhood home, as a young teenager daydreaming a romantic (and certainly improbable) future, and even as an adult in restaurants ignoring the table conversation as I create lives for the other diners around us.

I never understand why people say they don't know where writers get their ideas?  I get hit with at least ten ideas a day.  The solemn look in a child's face, a passing conversation, the lyrics of a song, an anecdote or comment you tuck away for later.

"A day will come when the story inside you will want to breath on it's own. That's when you will start writing".
